High stress in the NSW public sector
The Daily Telegraph reported on 21 February that documents released under the FOI Act reveal high levels of stress in the NSW public sector with one in five RTA employees off work at any one time because of mental stress, body stress, or physical injury. Prison officers, police, nurses and fire fighters also feature prominently in the list of public sector workers making workers compensation claims.
