Australian Federal Police Commissioner, Mick Keelty, has been left standing quite alone on the deck with his call for a media blackout on terrorism cases until they get to court. Attorney General McClelland in a statement yesterday said "Commissioner Keelty's comments represent his views not those of the Rudd Government".
Here's a McClelland quote to keep handy: "Access to government information and decision making are keys to a healthy and vibrant democracy".
Richard Ackland has a typically breezy comment on the issue.
