Cooling off period and success fee ban just the start on lobbying reform

I missed the fact that the upper house amendment to the NSW Lobbying of Government Officials Bill for a cooling off period for ex ministers went through the Legislative Assembly on 11 May with no opposition. With that and success fees out for lobbying in the state government arena, the government is off to a good start. Let's hope the other ICAC recommendations to improve regulation of lobbyists don't disappear from sight.
