Sound decision by OAIC
This (possibly first) challenge to a decision by the Australian Information Commissioner - not to investigate a complaint - before the Federal Court of Australia was as lame as they come. The Court said the application to the OAIC was
frivolous and fundamentally misconceived. It dismissed the challenge and awarded costs against the applicant who was awaiting extradition, but certainly knew his way into a courtroom when the matter was heard just before Christmas: two matters before the Australian Human Rights Commission, a
matter before
the Family Court of Australia, and a matter before the High Court of
Australia. Phew!
